The production shaft freezing project of Shandong Guotun Coal Mine with 702 meters freezing depth and 587.5 meters thick topsoil has created a world record of the thickest topsoil passed through by utilizing freezing method.The “Major Freezing Technology Research on 702 Meters Shaft”is awarded No.1 of the top ten scientific and technological achievements of the coal industry and the special award for scientific and technological innovation achievements of the China Construction Enterprise Association. The“Research and Application of Basic Mechanical Properties of Artificial Frozen Soil”is awarded the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress by the State Council. The freezing hole construction method, the deep shaft freezing construction method and the inclined shaft freezing construction method are all assessed as national construction methods.From the first freezing construction of the deep shaft in China in 2003, Chengcun main and auxiliary shaft with 485 meters freezing depth to the main shaft of Shandong Guotun completed in 2006 with 702 meters freezing depth, and the main shaft project of Men Keqing with 802 meters freezing depth and Gansu Xinzhuang ventilation shaft project with 910 meters freezing depth constructed in 2010, CC5C has refreshed the national record of freezing depth for four times.The construction of the Inner Mongolia Yushulinzi Inclined Shaft Project has filled the gap of the inclined shaft freezing in China. The construction of the Shanxi Gucheng main inclined shaft project has a freezing slope of 504 meters, which is the longest inChinaat present.

CC5C has successfully applied coal mine technology to the municipal engineering field, and the freezing construction is mainly applied to the construction of the subway bypass. A number of freezing projects in Shanghai are appraised as advanced units and Shanghai civilized construction sites by the Owners. During the freezing construction in Tianjin, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Hong Kong, Macao and other places, CC5C has all achieved excellent performance and are well received by local governments and owners. In the construction of under-river freezing project of Changshu Power Plant Yangtze River Water Tunnel of China Power International Limited, the innovative construction technology that applied by the CC5C has filled the gap in domestic hydropower construction technology, CCTV News reported its performance.
